From the introduction: Combat Commander 1973-1983 is designed to simulate modern warfare, using military miniatures. Employing recently de-classified military information, the game sets up actual battlefield conditions, which allow one to reconstruct the military engagements of the 1970's, and to test most contemporary weapons and tactics on hypothetical conflict.
