After death of king Arthur, Great Britain is in chaos and anarchy. To stop wars, raids and fights for throne, wise wizard Merlin divided magical sword Excalibur into two identical pieces and hid them in different parts of kingdom. The one who finds both pieces will be the new king of Great Britain. Excalibur is a game for two players in some ways similar to chess but with hidden pieces. At the beginning of the game each player places his/her 40 pieces in four rows on the board arranged in any order he/she wants. There are 12 different types of pieces: Sword, King, Spear Horseman, Sword Horseman, Spearman, Swordsman, Shield-bearer, Wizard, Scout, Jester and Dragon.
