Once the story begins with the play of a 'Once upon a time...' card, each player chooses a card to lay adjacent to a previous card, using the picture to continue the story. Each card must match the color of the space it is played on. White action cards, wild cards depict thoughts. If a card cannot be played, the player can get rid of any card and draw a replacement from the bag.
